Hello, my name is Isabelle, I am an
As we take many forms in this life; I find the roles I inhabit are like nodes over a vast thread of mycelia. Sometimes I grow toward the node of art making: illustration, collage, natural dying, sculpting, poetry.
Artist,
This dialogue with the Nature has eroded human constructs of hierarchy and categories. When you engage with the more than human realm (see mothrights.org) different structures emerge: communalism, webs, inter-dependance. Systems that, if studied might bring us back into the equilibrium of the earth and its planetary boundaries.
In other fractals of time I tend to the earth. Planting native plants, watering, growing food and observing the equilibrium of ecologies. Trying to read language of the land so I can best mend the extraction and harm.
Conservationist,
Witch;
I am a small part of a growing tide of humans dreaming in new ways and older ways of relating. This dreaming in embodies multiple knowledge systems, symbiosis, polylingual and non-language communication. We need to listen to peoples closest to the land and we need to listen to the land if we wish to remain.
So my work is that of alchemy.
In the twilight of poly-crisis I see each dimension of the earth illuminated. A deep need to understand the materiality of the immaterial, to understand that transcendence is actually an embodied process.
